Prime Coast began with a simple wager against the usual: that entertainment did not have to be loud, dim, or breathless to be good. Most of the genre is built to keep a hand moving. We wanted a place built to let it rest.
So we borrowed from the buildings we admire — the airy hotel lobby, the cruise lounge at golden hour, the private club where light does the decorating. Strip away the money, frame the play in glass and water, and what remains is the oldest pleasure of all: the small suspense of a card or a cascade about to land.
